Richard C. O’Connell, President & CEO – Rich is an experienced electrical and solar design engineer who has been designing renewable power systems since 1989. He brings over 33 years of experience in the electrical power production industry and specializes in commercial and industrial high voltage applications. Rich has extensive knowledge and management experience in the wastewater and water distribution systems having worked for the City of Santa Rosa as a supervisor and project manager at the Utilities Department Laguna Treatment plant for 18 years. He was recognized with a CELSOC award in 1999 for his role in an innovative electrical substation upgrade to the Laguna Treatment Plant which reduced Santa Rosa’s operating electrical costs by over $560,000.00 a year. As an IBEW electrician, Rich holds licenses as a B-General, C-10 Electrical and C-46 Solar contractor. Rich’s other experience includes a 6 year volunteer as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Rohnert Park and a member of the Sonoma County Board of Building Appeals. Rich has been published in Home Energy Magazine and featured in articles for wind installations in Northern California. He holds an AS Degree from Empire College in Computer Technology and holds Microsoft Certified Systems Engineering, Cisco Certified Network Associate, CompTIA Network + and A+ certificates. Acutely aware of the need to educate and teach for the benefit of renewable sustainable living, Rich personally oversees each install and leaves each commercial client or homeowner with a sense of environmental investment and responsibility!!! |
